Tim Los approaches his Wedding Photography based on what YOU the client wants.

If you are wanting to spend the whole day posing and feeling like a Hollywood Superstar then that can be catered for (see the above album which features and mix of posed and relaxed documentary images).  If you are wanting a reportage documentary style of photography in which you are not aware of the photographer been present and will often get the most relaxed images (see the album below).

All of the images on this page were shot at real weddings and involved real customers who chose to trust Tim Los Photography to capture their day.

Tim likes to try to work in a covert way, hiding away in the background and grabbing moments that are a once in a life time encounter.  Although when control and leadership is required you'll hear Tim using his teacher voice to get the most unruly grandma or uncle into line for those group shots. He has been capturing weddings for over 15 years (12 years professionally) and involved in photography in one form or another for over 25 years.

Why is this important to know from your perspective?

It shows that Photography is not just a job, but a passion and a life time love.  There are so many "Photographers" out there who are "Professionals" but how many can say that they spent the first 5 years of their career shooting on film and have shot in excess of 150 weddings and have a 100% hit rate?

When arriving at a wedding at the point where the bride is getting hair and makeup sorted Tim always gets a nervous knotted feeling in his stomach until the lucky couple have said "I Do" and have had their first kiss as a married couple.  I hear you ask why does he get nervous still after shooting 150 weddings over 15 years?  The simple fact is that he cares about every couple he works with and they are not just a number or a cash sign.  The day that he stops getting nervous is the day he needs to put down his camera and stop shooting weddings or any type work as its that nervous feeling that keeps him on his toes and makes sure that every image is taken with love and consideration.

Interested in finding out how to book a free consultation with Tim Los?

Tim will come and meet you both in a location that is convenient and comfortable for you both.  He will bring albums along to show samples of his work, allow you to ask as many questions as you would like and go over details about your special day.  It is also a good opportunity for you to see how you get on with Tim and if he is the one your happy leaving the responsibility with to capture your once in a life time event that will only happen once.  A lot of people look at photographers from a point of view cost, style of work, work ethos or attitude point of view.  But really as well as all the above you should be prioritising who you think you'll be happy sharing some of your most personal private moments with on such a special day.

Information that is good to have to hand when meeting would include the wedding date, location, venues, contact details for you both, key guests such as best man and chief bridesmaid, the person who will be marrying you both (priest, vicar, registrar), wedding coordinator at your reception and any specific details about your wedding that you think should be known by Tim.  A good example would be if you were to feature a James Bond lookalike who will fly on a zip line from the reception roof, guests who will be dressed as pantomime horses, flowers been presented at a non traditional point during proceedings, a special dedication song or dance or an aunty who is making a surprise appearance from Australia (all of these have happened as well as much more over the years).  Although Tim always has his finger on the trigger ready to shoot at a seconds notice, a little notice where possible is always appreciated as it allows for prep and planning (beautiful natural images do not happen by accident).

Tim is always available to answer any questions you may have and this is not just exclusively to the wedding photography details.  He has lots of industry contacts that can make planning your day easier.  These include:

Printers for invites and thank you cards

Bespoke gifts

Personalised scented candles

Wedding coordinators

Entertainers (magicians, balloon artists, clowns, singing waiters)

Wedding dress manufacturers and resellers

Wedding cars

DJ's and singers / musicians

Wedding insurance providers

Caricature artists

Lighting / sound specialists and many more.

Here is a true story that Tim would like to share with you.

One of Tim's first clients to book him for their wedding did so right at the beginning of his Professional career.  The bride was nervous at the wedding meeting and made it very clear that she did not like having her photograph taken at the best of times and hated the idea of been in the lime light.  Through a long chat at the meeting and subsequent talks on the phone the couple decided to go with Tim as their photographer (you will find out why below).  It was almost two years after booking Tim that their wedding day came around.  At the wedding reception after releasing Chinese lanterns into the air, the couple pulled Tim to one side and told him something that has stayed with him through every wedding or event he has been to since.  They said that they booked Tim based on how he made the bride feel about herself, how relaxed she felt around him and how down to earth and silly he was.  Now to most people the last bit might be taken in the wrong way, but in this case it was that by been silly and a bit mad and down to earth, that she could relax and forget about been photographed and get on with enjoying her day.  In the two years since booking Tim that had not changed and has been said time and time again with all his clients.  If you looking for a photographer who loves themselves more than capturing your beautiful day then there are lots of people on Google who can offer the big "I am" service.  If however your looking for someone who cares about you as people then please give Tim a call and see how he can be part of your day.
